Day 10 – Processes and Frameworks
- Reading & Discussing Chapter 10 in The Permaculture Student 2
- Map the Keypoint & Keyline – Students using pencil and paper topographic maps or Google Earth will locate the keypoint and keyline in a diversity of landscapes and map them on Google Earth and/or on paper by hand
- Analyze an Element – Students will analyze, discuss, and present elements in a system in terms of their variety, products, needs, and behaviors
- Install a Keypoint Dam or a Keyline Swale – Students will understand how to analyze a site, locate the keypoint and keyline, and design and install a keypoint dam and/or keypoint swale or diversion drain
- Holistic Goal Setting – Students will set holistic goals for themselves
- Holistic Planning – Students will plan a business, farm, ranch, or service using the holistic management framework and principles
- Community Service – Students will plan, design, and perform design services and installations for those in need and for communal areas with consent
